Yes, the Democrats hate America. Proof of this is evident in their crying and screaming about the inadequacy of Sarah Palin as a Vice Presidential candidate.
She has just as much experience as Senator Obama. But the crying goes on and on about how she is not qualified.
The fact that she is a woman has drawn huge amounts of ire. Rumours are being spread about her that are outrageous. That she didn't give birth to her 5th child. That nude pics of her will come out. That she is simply a "vagina." Its outrageous. The Democrats just can't stand the fact that there is such a thing as a conservative woman who is pro-gun rights, pro-lower taxes, pro-drilling in ANWAR, pro-life, etc.
They hate it that a woman with five children who likes guns and low property taxes and is pro-life could become the next Vice President of the United States.
Its no surprise the Democrats can't win a national election. They don't like America. They don't like the kind of people who grow up and come out of middle America. Sarah Palin is nothing if not pure American. She's as American as you can get. Its funny the contrast between her and Senator Obama. It should be no surprise the Democrats love Obama so much, because he is not your typical American.
The Democrats should be afraid of Palin. And its no wonder they are quickly trying to discredit her before she's been too widely introduced to America. Its critical for the Democrats chances that they convince as much of America as possible to not have an open mind about her--because if people have an open mind and listen to her they will love her, and Obama will lose.
The Dems don't hate America, they just don't trust the non-elitists to govern us. The irony is that The Republicans (purposted to be out of touch with the comon folk) usually nominate ordinary folks who aren't brainiacs, intellectuals, nor academicians, while the Democrats (while purposting to be in touch with the common folks) usually nominate intellectuals, elistists and academicians for President. Even the Nuclear Physicist (Carter) and the Ivy League Rhodes Scholar (Clinton) fit this bill. It is as if the Democrats want the voters to allow them to govern from on high and tell us what is good for us, while the Republicans do what the voters want them to do. The upside is that while Democratic candidates are often brainiacs (Carter, Obama), they outsmart themselves, while the Republicans who are clearly NOT brainiacs (Bush, McCain) are in tune with the public. This wins elections.
McCain is in tune? LOL! The last 8 years have brought nearly unprecedented economic devastation, and McCain thinks the economy is strong. He couldn't tell you how many houses he owns, and he thinks that a person is not rich until they make $5 million a year. He blames the foreclosure crisis on irresponsible home owners - not declining wages and rising costs. I could go on, but I'm aware that I'm already wasting my energy here....
nearly unprecedented economic devastation
Sure, you have a computer where to post here. Indigents don't own computers.
And.....read first the interview of McCain and Warren, it was not like that. I taped for that purpose.
Um, let me counter that analogy. I will grant that yes the Dems nominate those that many would consider the best and the brightest, usually top of their class and things like that. Too bad that is considered a "bad" thing by you. Whereas the republicans seemingly admire mediocrity i.e. Bush.
Might we examine the outcome of recent Presidents when you take this into account- Clinton v. Bush. Do we need to recount the mess this "C" student/legacy admission has left us?
BTW, McCain graduate at the very bottom of his class...I guess keeping in line with the high expectations sought after.
Smear Fear will do no good in this election. Americia will not fall for this kind of illogical, ignorant smear.
I love America as much as you do. I have son in the Army who has been deployed to Iraq. I pledge allegiance to the same flag as you. My eyes tear up when we sing the Star Spangled Banner. I revere our founding fathers. I love America and I resent to the utmost your smearing allegation that I do not.
I think it is a little misguided to characterize honest criticism of Palin as a general "hatred of America". I do agree that there's lots of "crap" floating around out there, but it's really no different from the crap that Obama dealt with early on. First he was a Muslim, then he was a wacky Christian, then he had some strange anonymous gay sex/crack rumor that never held water, then he was a terrorist...it's unfortunately the same tactics on both sides of the aisle.
But, there are lots of folks with honest, sincere questions about Palin - and they're not all coming from liberals. There are quite a few conservatives with strong opinions about the traditional female role in American families that are beginning to question the wisdom of McCain's selection. Do they hate America too?
I do not like the smears/rumors, but there are lots of good questions being asked right now as well.
"First it was" is not the right thing to say.
I read a comment today which claimed he was a Muslim and that he hasn't produced a valid birth certificate. Apparently, lies and malicious rumors can only be condemned when they are aimed at the right.
Oh, I see.
I did not know that a pregnancy could be duplicated from the archives.
Whoever created the similarity, FIRE him or her.
Laura Bush in few minutes on Fox.
Please explain how not liking a candidate equates to hating America.
By your logic, if you love America, you must also adore Obama.
Sorry, but this is a pretty lame opinion piece.
What about the smears about Obama? (As mentioned in my comment #7.)
I must have missed your article about those.
No more shocking than propping up smears on Obama being Muslim due to having a foreign sounding name and foreign looking dark skin.
Again, your outrage seems to be somewhat conditional.
I have Muslim friends, I lived in a Muslim country and it's not about his faith, it's about other important issues that the media/press kept under the rug.
Bull@!$%#, det. For too many, it's about lies and smears about his faith. They're littered all over Newsvine, all over the internet, so don't try and pretend otherwise, or assert that it's not true.
Mr. Ford,
In the NV there are different issues going on and is not about being a Muslim.
Bull@!$%#, det. I'm not saying there *aren't* other issues, but you can't tell me that his faith isn't called into question on Newsvine.
You're wrong.
Are you a Muslim, Mr. Ford that feels affected?
As usual, your response is off-topic, random, and pointless -- once you realize you can't back up your claims with any relevant information.
Mr. Ford,
I don't remember to be involved in any article/seed about Obama's faith.
So? When did I ever say you were? When did this become about you? You jumped into a discussion that isn't about you, initially claimed that there are no smears against Obama regarding being a Muslim on Newsvine (you're wrong) and NOW you want to say it's about whether YOU have ever done that?
The fact that YOU haven't done it has nothing to do with my original claim, or your original attempt to contest my original claim.
You're all over the place, and by doing that, you're successfully dodging the issue.
So, to pin you down:
Are you denying that there are claims made ON NEWSVINE that Obama is a closet Muslim?
Don't change the subject, don't leave a glib nonsensical post about something else, don't answer with YOUR opinion on the matter. Answer the question.
If you don't answer the question, don't bother responding at all, as it will be a waste of your time, and mine.
Mr. Ford,
Seems that you don't get it.
Governor Palin is right on the issues that are important to me. She truly is representative of the average American citizen. She's been on the job she was elected to do. Obama has been campaigning for president ALWAYS, just as Joe Biden. Neither of them have any accomplishments.
Brokaw maintains that Obama's running for president for 20 months qualifies him to be president. What utter nonsense!
I had been lukewarm towards McCain, but since he chose Governor Palin, I intend to walk the streets of my little town urging my friends and neighbors to support the Republican ticket.
Wait, so the rumors that are being spread about her baby are less ridiculous than the rumors that are spread about Obama being a muslim and Obama not having a valid birth certificate?
How the heck can you write an article about the double standards of Democrats with that one hanging over your head?
don't trust the non-elitists to govern us
I love this argument. So wanting someone who is well educated, well versed in current national and global issues, and is well spoken is an elitist? I don't want some regular guy who I can drink a beer with to be president. We've had a "regular" guy in office too long by that logic. We should want someone better than us to be our president. I say, go team elitists!
Wow, just wow. If we Democrats wrote an article like this one, headinthegame, you can be sure that the Republicans on the Vine would take us to task on it. This article is nothing but smear, and spam. Not sure if it should be reported as misconduct, inaccurate, or if I should just ignore you.
Think I'll do the first and the last.
