Lois Feldman of Carroll, Iowa was enjoying a one sided college football game (55-0) between her beloved Iowa Hawkeyes and the Minnesota Gophers last weekend when she suddenly opted to engage in a quickie sex romp with a stranger in the Minneapolis Metrodome men's room and "ruined her life."
The 38 year old fan and mother of three attended the game with her husband, who declined an invitation to accompany his wife to the restroom. She set off on her own and the next thing she knew, she was being thrown around by police officers in a handicap stall of the men's bathroom after engaging in sex with a 26 year old stranger while more than a dozen people cheered them on.
its unfortunate we live in such a judgemental society
yea, sure, that's the unfortunate part.
its of course also unfortunate that she lost her job and was subjected to public ridicule. let a girl have a little fun, i say
You do realize she had children there at the game right? Her decisions don't just affect her, they affect her family. Her judgement is what is unfortunate. It was poor and she shouldn't have done it.
all true...but don't you think the criminal prosecution makes the whole situation worse?
I wonder who HASN'T had some form of sex in some place that could be considered public and just wasn't caught by the cops? I know my wife and I have definitely done some things over the past 12 years that most certainly weren't in the privacy of any bedroom. Should we be arrested and lose our jobs as a result?
Prosecution probably does make it worse, but hey, don't do stupid things.
Division, it's true. The issue was that it was with a stranger, at a football game, with a crowd watching, in the bathroom, with her children and husband waiting for her to come back while watching the game. Does that situation really sound that familiar to your past experiences? It's a bit of a long list.
Lois Feldman is just plain unlucky. She said she was intoxicated and her husband says she was not in shape to go to the rest room alone. One should not drink in public around strangers. If I could go back in time and change one thing about my life, I would not go to bars or nightclubs and drink around strangers. Please accept the possibility that she could have been drugged or a vicitim of "Love at First Sight." Criminal prosecution is like rubbing salt into her wounds and she has losted her job. The best thing the officier could have done was stopped the action, allowed them to get dress and throw them out of the stadium. I was young once!!
30 something is not young...
What is it about toilet facilities in Minnesota that makes people want to have promiscuous sex?
Unfortunate enough that she was that stupid, and that unfaithful....I mean really, wife, mother of 3 and having sex with a stranger (which I wonder if he really was a stranger) in a strange town. If I was hubby...off to the clinic first, off to the attorney second. (I'd also be witing to see in the press later if these two had an alternate lifestyle and that he may have known she was going to go "get some")
don't be so judgmental man!
What a wonderful example for the argument of different sex marriage and the sanctity of it.
Nasty. This isn't judgement it's just NASTY. Seriously, screwing outside of marriage is one thing......but in a public restroom like a common skank? ICK. That just adds a whole other level of WRONG to the whole sordid display.
Not knowing what MN state law is in regards to unemployment insurance, but if she was fired, she probably can't collect it.
Hey don't get me wrong.....sex is awesome and fun....and giving into lust is even better....but when you're married do it with your spouse and if they aren't into it at the moment.....well girlfriend.....take care of it if you must in the privacy of your home, preferrably in your own room or bathroom not in some public toilet that is fouled with the waste of humanity and barely wiped down with dirty towels and spit these days.
Lovely example of motherhood, too!
Agreed. Sounds like the "men" involved and some commenting are Taliban-like and hypocritical.
Relax, it's just sex. The husband needs to face that maybe he wasn't getting the job done at home. Monogamy goes against human nature.
That's actually just an excuse used by people who can't control themselves. It might not be in YOUR nature, but certainly there are plenty of people it has actually worked just fine for.
And how am I hypocritical? If her husband did the same thing it would have been wrong as well.
So what did her sex romp have to do with her ability to perform her job, or was it simply the fact that she was arrested? Had she been arrested solely for public intoxication, would she have been fired?
She was probably fired because she helps represent the image of the retirement facility where she worked. I'm sure that wasn't the image they wanted associated.
Wow! Some risks are just not worth the consequences. More than a dozen people were cheering them on? Definitely agree with Studius at 4 and Golden Gate at 4.2!
Maybe next time the husband will do what his wife wants and walk with her to the restroom, must have been an exciting game.
but seriously, a little sex with a stranger is not worth ruining your life and lives of those around you.
Wonder if she and Newt knew each other?
Her hometown newspaper, The Daily Times Herald, ran a story with her home address
Brutal.
i agree with you johnny. this is a terrible tragedy. what about just leaving people alone?
Lois is speaking out now.
"I would never ever do that," Feldman said. "My kids are my life. I go to church every Sunday."
"Everybody thinks something got put in my drink," Feldman said.
remember when the us supreme court wrote about the right to be let alone?
Sorry but for me that's a whole new level of skank. If she wanted to try something new why not join the mile high club with her husband? It's safer for one and if one of you is lazy the turbulence can work wonders (or so I've heard).
She is denying everything now that it became public and were arrested for their indecency. There is more than that to just the consent of the parties. Maybe the husband is not paying much attention to her needs.
Maybe the husband is not paying much attention to her needs.
Sure, why not. Hubby didnt want to go the restroom so she decided to perform a live sex act with a stranger.
I agree with - "OFF to the clinic first for me for paternity testing, then to a divorce lawyer". Now I understand why there is a conservative party.
stop saying "don't be so judgemental." hey moral authority, what if this was your mom? the root problem of this is that she drank way too much.
What is with this site? Are you people kidding me? Is the whole world just one big gray area where there is always another side to the story and no personal responsibility? No wonder Obama got elected.
This woman is married with three kids. This isn't about her being reprimanded for sex in public - get a clue. This woman is a slut and her husband needs to get a life, end of story - WTF!
I agree, D. Marshall. And to answer your rhetorical, yes, the whole world is now gray, there are no absolutes, it's all relativism nowadays. Ain't no more right and wrong, despite what mom taught me when I was a lad. This Lois skank got absolutely $hitfaced, but it HAS TO BE SOMEONE ELSE'S FAULT, she goes to church, and her kid mean everything to her. It HAS to be someone else's fault...
Even when I used the "It wasn't my fault, I was drunk" excuse for stupid conduct, I knew deep down that I was the 'victim' of consequences of behavior that I had chosen. This can go one of two ways:
1) Keep doing what you're doing & just not get caught next time, or
2) Make better choices.
The weird thing for me was that no matter how drunk I was, I was always aware of what I was doing and could always remember exactly what I'd said and done the next day. As such, it really didn't make sense for me to get drunk. I'm just as uninhibited when sober as I am when I've been drinking.
