The Colorado shootings were horrific. Once again, someone with guns has gone crazy and killed a bunch of people. It seems clear that if we had better gun control laws, this wouldn't have happened.
Of course, the arguments to the contrary are--maybe the crazy guy would have made a bomb and killed a bunch of people if he couldn't have gotten a gun. So, maybe gun control laws would once again just keep the guns out of the hands of the lawful, abiding citizens and not stop the violence.
And of course perhaps the best argument for not controlling guns is that it prevents government tyranny. The old saying is: "When governments fear the people, there liberty. When people fear the government, there is tyranny."
