There was a fascinating article in the New York Times that you have to read, if you haven't read it already. The article talks about how the Obama legal team was scrambling before the election to put in guidelines on drone killings, in case they lost the election and Romney got the levers.

Remember, Obama has used this program to kill US citizens!

In the article, Obama administration officials are quoted as saying that the program is "amorphous." Attention is called to Obama's own words, in which he acknowledges the lack of a legal framework.

Meanwhile, drone killings go on. Should we be concerned, as Americans, that our President can authorize the extrajudicial killing of someone, even an American citizen?

It would appear that we should. We should all be deeply concerned. But what about the Newsvine community? My thinking is that this liberal group thinks just like the Obama crowd does. It is alright as long as Obama is in charge...This thinking is no different than the thinking of other despots in the past. It is alright for them to have totalitarian powers...it is just the next guy. He can't have them. He might be, gosh, unreasonable!
