Dollars paid out in social security, medicare and medicaid: $1,480,000 Trillion.

There you have it! Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid are bankrupting the country.

You might say, incredulously, "What about all the money set aside over the years in the 'trust' fund?"

There is no trust fund. The money was spent. It is gone. Sure, they put an IOU in there, but it was all spent. Now the government has to tax or issue government bonds to pay for the current social insurance deficit.

What does this mean? We are doomed!
