It seems pretty clear that the Republicans won't be fooled again. Tricked into voting for tax hikes, they are going to demand spending cuts. Obama, meanwhile, will not go that way. He won't stand down. He doesn't want spending cuts. My prediction? The government gets shut down. The Republicans will go all the way this time. They won't fold. If it comes to default, they will go there. Whatever they do, they won't vote for take hikes again.
